It is a very compact lamp only 15" x 11" in size but it has everything you need. It is easy to setup and install. Simply attach the metal hangers and use the ratchet hangers provided to adjust the height in your grow tent. There is a long power lead to plug into the plug timer at one end and the lamp at the other. The LED power supply is mounted on the UAP 1500 and the dimmer, spectrum adjustment and controller connections are all on board and high quality.
The LEDS are covered and each LED has it's own lens to direct the light efficiently onto the plant canopy. This provides excellent protection for the LEDs and will extend their life significantly.
There are two spectrum modes to select from; Full and ePAR boost. The Full spectrum is a combination of white and deep red. Switching to the EPAR boost mode adds a large amount of deep red light and far-red light spectrum output for the flowering stage.
We tested the UAP1500 in a 2ft x 2ft or 60cm x 60cm area with reflective silver mylar walls to closely replicate a grow tent environment. The test space is divided into a grid of 16 squares and PAR readings taken in each square to give a detailed view of the PAR output of the fixture in a real world setup.
We hung the UAP 1500 at 14" or 35cm over the test area and measured the PPFD using the Apogee MQ-610 ePAR sensor. Below is the PAR chart for the UAP 1500 with an excellent average PAR intensity of 1,027 µmols/m²/second and a system efficiency of 2.41 PPFD/watt.
This is an excellent result for a grow light at this price and with these features.
